What is Yoga?

Yoga = Union

Yoga originated in India more than 5000 years ago, and is still being practiced by thousands of people every day around the world.

Yoga is an excellent way to reduce stress in the body, as well as increase energy. Those who regularly practice yoga will find they sleep better at night, and get sick less often, as yoga boosts your immune system. Yoga improves your digestion, and specific postures help to detoxify your internal organs by gently massaging them, improving your overall health and warding off disease.

You will naturally become more flexible and stronger, as yoga challenges every muscle in your body. You will have a wider range of motion in your joints, and will be able to move your body more freely and easily.

Yoga can help you improve your memory, concentration and self-discipline. It will clear the clutter from your mind and reveal your true nature, which is beautiful and simple.  Yoga will show you how to be at peace with yourself and the world around you.

Yoga is convenient and uncomplicated. All you need is loose, comfortable clothing, and a sticky mat so you don’t slip.
